Every numeric local report is derived from the same public ALPR dataset and geographic method. Every explanatory guide distinguishes vendor statements, public-source observations and analysis.
Camera records
DeFlock/FlockHopper distributes the OpenStreetMap-derived ALPR source used for the count layer. The current Flock Off dataset identifies 132,365 U.S. source records through August 19, 2026. Underlying records are licensed under ODbL.
Geographic references
U.S. Census Gazetteer files provide the Core Based Statistical Area names and representative coordinates used to anchor consistent 25-mile report circles.
Vendor policy
Flock Safety’s published LPR policy is cited for the company’s own description of collection, default retention and controls. It does not replace a local contract, policy, configuration or audit.
Independent analysis
The Electronic Frontier Foundation and ACLU sources provide civil-liberties and location-tracking context.
Corrections
Location corrections should be made through the underlying OpenStreetMap/DeFlock workflow so every downstream user benefits. Flock Off refreshes the aggregate reports daily and keeps the last verified data when a refresh fails.
